Proceeds from the event fund the blood cancer research programs of Dr. Joseph Tuscano. Dr. Tuscano is the Director of Stem Cell and Bone Marrow Transplantation at UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center. His areas of specialty include the treatment of leukemia and lymphoma. In addition, he leads a passionate and committed research team that has a track record of hunting for novel antibody and other immune-based therapies to treat lymphoma and leukemia, many of which can be used to treat other cancers such as multiple myeloma, lung and colon cancer. The team is focused on developing less toxic and more effective treatments that utilize the patient’s own immune system.
